Dear 18 Year Old Me - 30 Health Post in 30 Days

I think that today I will actually take the writing assignment that was given which is "Dear 18 Year Old Me."  In YW growing up, I never did so well with the "write a letter to yourself ten years from now" so maybe I can do better writing to the past instead of the future...

Dear 18 year old Allison,
Hello...this is you ten years later and I have a few things to tell you.  You are 18 and you are about to head off to college, a little bit sooner than you had expected, but this summer at college is going to be a blast!  You will meet people this year who will become your best friends for life.  People who ten years later, you are still in weekly to daily contact with.  People aren't kidding when they say that college is the best time of your life, so live it up.  Maybe study more than you actually do (which I know...is basically not at all!)  Enjoy the fact that you can eat whatever you want and not gain any weight!  At this point in your life, your blood sugar levels are okay.  They are in no means great, but they could be better.  Quit being so lazy and work on that.  New technology is coming that you will just fall in love with to help you with your diabetes, but until then, work with it.  Ten years later you don't have any regrets.  You have experienced many things, have had wonderful friends, fallen in love with travel and enjoy your independence.  Don't worry, there will be some crappy times, but it isn't anything that you can't get through.  When things get rough, Trusting Jesus is your favorite book, Josua 1:9 helps you in your times of need and your patriarchal blessing is always a comfort.  A long bubble bath works wonders, calling an old friend always lifts your spirits and NEVER underestimate the the comfort of your bed!  Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride...as if that wasn't what you had planned already!

Much Love,
28 year old Allison

I guess that wasn't so hard...
