Love At First Sight

I finally got to meet Jackson Mark Bevans tonight! He's a cute little guy and such a good baby! Shauna said he was being fussy, but he seemed pretty darn good to me!

I absolutely love the fact that Shauna and Mark referred to me as "Auntie Allison" to Jackson!

Shauna and Mark are such good parents! It was adorable to watch them interact with their new little son.

Night Out

Sherstin, Mary, Jen and I finally made it to the Desert Star dinner theater to see Home School Musical...it was really funny! (even though it probably had more Napolean Dynamite jokes than High School Musical jokes). It was Jen's first time there...pretty sure she enjoyed it!

Be Careful What You Wish For

I never had had any sort of a desire to see High School Musical. Just didn't. However, when I became friends with some of the girls in my ward, we decided that we should go to the Desert Star dinner theater at some point. Of course, the next show playing was "Home School Musical," a spoof off of High School Musical. If I was going to the Desert Star to see this play, I was going to have suck in my pride and watch the movie.

We finally planned to do so, and on Friday afternoon, Sherstin called to see if she could bring anything. I told her that I had it all handled...she proceeded to ask if I wanted a poster of Zac Efron. I told her only if it was a life size cardboard cut out of him. We laughed and got off the phone.

At about 8 o'clock, Melanie and I were enjoying our fabulous Chilis dinner when there was a knock at the door. Guess who came along to enjoy the movie with us?!

I guess dreams really do come true...

Oh, the movie was actually better than I thought...

Or maybe it was just the dreamy presence of Zac...

Do I Smell Bad or Something?

Ok, so you know those automatic air fresheners that they have in bathrooms now? The ones that hiss and squirt and all of a sudden the bathroom has an overpowering smell. The smell that that is supposed to resemble cherry blossoms on a spring day but really smells more like an old lady's perfume? Yeah...you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, so I feel that EVERY time I walk by one of these, it starts hissing and spitting this old lady perfume on me! Usually they are higher up so you can get away from them with only minor damage. However, if you go into the bathroom in the first floor of the Richards Building on campus, there is an air freshener that is at HEAD LEVEL. I used that bathroom a lot, seeing as though all my classes were in that building. It attacked me everytime! Anyway, this came to mind today because I was in the restroom at work and just barely missed the contraption sneezing at me. Thank goodness for my cat-like reflexes.

Tiffany's Wedding

Tiffany and Paul got hitched on Friday in the Salt Lake City Temple. The wedding was, of course, beautiful! Here are some pictures of the festivities...
The wedding dinner the night before the wedding.

Here is a bunch of us girls at the reception.

I'm glad that someone finally decided to get into a cake fight! Well done, kids!

New Past Time

So, one of my friends locked her keys in her car when she came over the other night. We had a couple boys try to get it open, but with no luck. Finally, after we were on the phone with AAA, I decided to give it a try. After messing around with the door and coat hanger for a few minutes...the lock popped up! Apparently this is one of my hidden skills that I need to not hide under a bushel...what do you think?

Here is my partner in crime (or owner of the car...whatever)! Decided it was best not to reveal her identity for the next time we try to break into a car!

Life Lately

So, my parents have moved back to California. I never thought I would say this, but I really do miss my parents as my roommates. They were a lot of fun, not to mention that they are so supportive and did so much for me while they lived out in Utah. It was really nice to actually get to know them better as friends. They put up with a lot with me...like me keeping them up late at night, seeking for their attention, borrowing the truck, sharing the bathroom with me, etc etc etc. It was a lot of fun though! Despite all this, it has been quite fun to have the entire condo to myself! I do things such as use the restroom with the door open, blast music through the house while I'm getting ready in the mornings and rotate sitting on the couch and the two chairs each time I get up for something. A friend of mine told me that I'm going to have a hard time adjusting to marriage someday with all this independence! HAHA! So, here are a few pictures from life lately...
Threw my last bridal shower for a very long time.

Played football in the snow for the first time.

Ate Indian food for the first time.

First attempt at having an apartment of girls in the ward come over...they'vee always been so nice to invite me over all the time, now that the parents are gone, it was my turn to return the favor!

Final Bridal Shower

Tiffany gets married on Friday! So, in line with her desires, the girls threw her a bridal shower slumber party!

This is what I got Tiff. I know, I'm not very exciting. But I figure she could use it to hit Paul over the head if ever he gets out of line!

We pretty much had more than enough balloons to play with. Lots ended up popping!

When I say slumber party, I mean SLUMBER more than PARTY. Most everyone was exhausted by 10 or 11pm. Wow. I sure didn't fall asleep until 3am...in my own bed upstairs, bwa haha.

Mr. and Mrs. Peterson!

Jessica is a married lady! Friday night I drove up to Salt Lake and we all spent the night in a hotel close to the temple. We had a lot of fun goofing around and watching Mama Mia, of course! Jess and I each got about 2 hours of sleep...Saturday was a very tired day!

The sealing was beautiful! The sealer gave some really great advice...such as Brad always making Jessica happy. Oh how wise!

Taking picutres outside the temple was FREEZING. Poor Jessica! But we all got through it alive and with fingers and toes still attached!

The luncheon was very good and I think we were all pretty hungry!

I was able to be reunited with both of my sidekicks! Adam drove out from California for the wedding, what a good guy! It was so fun to hang out with him and get to know his wife. We had a lot of fun being the groupies!

The reception was just beautiful!

I don't know why, but my friends like to put me in pink for their weddings. Some sort of curse I guess!

Feels Like Home

I love going to church when I go home. That is where I am able to find these great people. We've all grown up together in the same ward since we can remember. We're just missing Ashlee, Carrie, Brett and Laura in this picture (from our age group). There's just something about going home and seeing the people who you grew up with...the people who stayed your friend even during the horribly gawky stages!

I also love being able to see my leaders from primary and YW. I was able to catch up some with one of the most amazing YW presidents I've ever had! (Meri, you know I'm talking about you!) There's also just something about going home and seeing the wonderful people who you looked up to your whole life and who have helped mold you into the person you are today.

Reunion With my Girls!

While I was home, three of my best friends from high school were also in the area. Anytime this happens, we get together. We have a tradition of going out to eat and taking a ton of pictures when we see each other! We had a blast getting caught up on everyone's lives!

Ashlee and I have known each other the longest. Our parents were in the same ward when we were both born, 7 months apart. Ash lives in Utah now, so I get to see her every once in a while, which is always such a comfort to have at least one of them close by.

Carrie's family moved into our ward when we were all about 2 years old. A little while after having her son, Noah, she moved with her family to Virginia, so it has been a while since I've seen them...actually I hadn't seen them since the day Noah was born! They are moving soon to China...so I'm planning a trip to visit them in the next year or two! I can't wait!

Rickard has been living in New York and I was able to go visit her a little over a year ago, which was so nice to have my own personal tour guide! The night after this night, Rickard and I went on our traditional late night Frosty run and drove around Petaluma, gawking at all of the changes that have occured to our little town. We even drove around until we found Pepper Nursery School, where we met when we were about 4.

I miss these girls so much already!

Temple Square

The night before Karlie left to go back to San Diego, we took a quick trip up to see the lights at Temple Square. It was beautiful! I always love seeing the lights and walking around the temple. It was well worth the trip up there, even though we were FREEZING! I, personally, would never have the patience to put up all those lights, so I'm grateful to whoever does that! They do such a great job!

We decided this was our favorite tree! Look at how beautiful it is!
