Employed

Well...it has finally happened.  After three months of not having a job and two months of looking for a job, I now will have an income.  Kinda.

I had three places looking at me pretty closely.  One of which was a boy's center.  They offered me a job, but in the end, I felt that it wasn't the right place for me to be right now and turned it down.  Two hours later, the school district called me up and offered me a part time job!  I'm not thrilled about the part time and the pay, but everything else is great about it.  Hopefully at some point I'll be able to get more hours or get another part time job or something, but for now, I'm just happy to have an income!  I'm really happy to not be working in corporate America anymore as well.  I am very blessed!

School Dayz Crushes

This morning I had a chat with Kyra.  I was trying to get out of her who she had a crush on, since she always says no one.  When she asked me who I had a crush on in elementary school (clearly being a little smart a) I answered with a list of boys.  She was shocked that I remembered!  I decided that it would be good fun and some slight entertainment for some of you to see my list of boys that I had crushes on.  There rest of you will just see names that mean nothing.  I'm sure I could find pictures of them to put on here, but I feel that would be a little creepy.  Also, I don't feel like I'm ready to post who I had crushes on while living in Utah...that could get weird...

Flashback

While I was in Petaluma, I went to see Ashlee at the Jr. High and then went and walked around the place.  I haden't been ther in a long time!  it was crazy to see it again!

Those are some of the doors that I had classes in...Algebra, Spanish and English.
The courtyard where we had lunch every day.  Those steps are huge...pretty sure I almost died on them a few times!
Oh...and I got my California license and plates!!  yay!

Squirrel!

"Squirrel!" from the movie Up has a whole new meaning.  Usually when you yell "Squirrel" it means...I'm suddenly distracted...now it means "you can't fit into that!

Sunday morning the kids and I were leaving for church when suddenly my car was making a horrible noise.  The power steering went out and the battery light came on.  I parked, stole a different car and headed to church.  I'd like to say that I listened during church, but I actually was sitting on the couch trying to find out what was wrong with my car.  All search results said something was wrong with one of the belts...I just had those replaced!!  I texted my dad and he texted back saying that it sounded like it was the serpentine belt.  I decided not to focus on it until Monday.  I called dad Monday morning and he said to go look in the car and see if the belt was broken.  I opened the hood to find the squirrel!  Stupid thing!  One of the pool workers was kind enough to pull it out for me!

After a few phone calls I was able to get the car over to a shop and they replaced the belt.  Expensive squirrel.  Later that day, we found a gopher in the swimming pool!  Good thing it didn't wreck anything!

Beach!

Ashlee and I went to the beach while we were in Petaluma...we went to the beach we went to all the time while we were growing up.  Austin came with us as well as her niece and nephew.
Ashlee and I realized that we are old.  We wanted to stay warm and not go into the freezing cold water like we used to all the time!
We had lots of fun with the kids!
