For the first time in over 5 years (that I remember...actually...that I have record of through my insurance information online) my A1C level (test showing how well your blood sugar level is doing over the past three months) is in CONTROL.  The goal is to have your A1C level to be in the 7s, but even better is to be in the 6s.  Non diabetics should be around 4-5.  At my doctor appointment on Monday, the results came back that I was at a 6.8.  So, 5+ years of being in the 8s and 9s and it only took my doctor 8 months to get me into a healthy range.  I love my glucose sensor and diabetes management team!
