I really enjoyed sixth grade camp...we all had a blast! Pretty sure that is why I went back to Wilson and was a 6th grade camp counselor my 9th grade year. After that year, they stopped having volunteers be counselors so I went with a different school for my last two years of high school.

Slacker
At the age of 25 I realized I had never read the Old Testament all the way through. Horrible, I know. SO, I am happy to say that after TWO years, I finally finished the Old Testament on March 18th. YAY!

The Gathering
My cousin and her husband have adopted children from all over the world. I believe they have 25 kids now. She has now written a book about their experiences and here is a little youtube video introducing it. She is amazing.

Cheerleader Wanna-Be
As I'm sure I have mentioned, my parents somehow lost my many albums of photos that date back to my fourth grade year. For some amazing reason, I kept pretty much all of my negatives! AMAZING! For Christmas I bought myself a negative scanner. Now it isn't the best quality and the negatives are old and dusty, but I'm thrilled to be slowly, but surely, getting my pictures back!
I thought it might be fun to throw in some pictures at random times and tell the stories behind them...so here's the first one:
Laura and Shelby were on some city league cheerleading thingy. Not sure what it was exactly, but my little group of friends in 6th grade liked to pretend to be cheerleaders. I mostly just took pictures of it, but I did manage to find one with me in it.
Here is the one with me in it...the tall, gawky girl in the hoody and pig tails. I look SO awkward! I remember REALLY not wanting to pose for this picture because I had NO desire to be cheerleaderish. My mom was still doing my hair for me in 6th grade, hence the pigtails randomly that day. I remember never really wanting to learn how to do my hair (I haven't changed much since then in that respect or in my love for hoodies!).
I love this one because the girls have turned their heads around to see what is going on behind them. The guys decided it would be great to come running up from their football game to make fun of us! I'm sure I would have been with them if I wasn't the one taking the picture!
The last one is over in this area because one of the girls...I can't remember exactly who it was, but one of them got in trouble and was 'benched' for recess. They had wanted to take the picture, so we had to go to her, hurry up and pose, take the picture and not be noticed before she could go back to being 'benched.' Oh the things we do for cheerleading poses!!

What do you think? Do I have a future in cheerleading?! HA!
