I don't know what is up with my old roommates going off and ALL having little boys at around the same time, but they sure did make some cute ones! (These are just old roommates who recently had kids...I don't even want to start numbering all of my friends who had kids recently!)

If you've seen previous posts, you would know that Zanin was supposed to be born on my birthday (close enough I guess). Jonah ended up being born on Shauna's birthday. Both Jackson and Zanin were supposed to be named after me, but somehow "Allison" didn't fit. Weird, I know.

Forgetfulness Under Fire

Ok, so I have this problem. It comes whenever someone asks me a question and suddenly the TONS of opinions I have on the subject fly right out of my head into some dark abyss. Take, for example...about a monthish ago, I received a phone call asking for help for my old stake. They are putting together this website and wanted some input. I have PLENTY of opinions and ideas, however, because I was being put on the spot, I ended up on the phone for a long time and then finally remembering what I would say! Holy cow! The other half of this is when you are filling out one of those personality test things and they ask you something like this:

Glad

Huh?

It should be easier, like...

Kind
Mean
Depends on my mood
Depends on the time of the month

Maybe I'm the only one with this problem.

Or I'm genetically manipulated to early onset Alzheimer's and bad at deciding things.

Ask me about it later, I'll probably forget all of my opinions instantly.

The Week of Becoming 26...

With as much as I don't really enjoy being the center of attention, my birthday somehow spread itself out over a week!

I rang in my birthday while hanging out at Kristen, Miriam and Kjerstin's place. I didn't get a picture of that, but I did take a picture of the AMAZING brownie pan that Kristen got me...believe me, it works GREAT! I got home late that night to find that Tiff had dropped off a birthday breakfast for me as well!

On Monday, my actual birthday, Melanie took me out to dinner to my favorite, Chilis! Oh how glorious! She was even with me the SECOND I actually did turn 26! (at 10:23pm PST)

On Tuesday, since my boss let me work from home for my birthday, I got to work and enjoyed lots of birthday wishes, cards and banners! It was also St. Patricks day, and I had forgotten to wear green...my co worker was nice enough to let me borrow his green highlighter!

Later that night, I went over to Abby and Cindy's place. Abby made me the MOST AMAZING 11 layer cake! I keep on wanting to go over and have more, but I'm trying to hold myself back... They also got me the most hilarious card. I have it in my purse if anyone ever wants to listen to it!

I also got surprised with these beautiful flowers on Tuesday from my sister Susannah and her husband, Kevin!

On Thursday, despite how uncreative I am, Jess and I had a BLAST at Color Me Mine...we each made soap dispensers! Afterwards we went out to ice cream. We get to pick up out finished product on Monday...I can't wait to see them!

Friday night, Sarah and Ryan took me to Divine Comedy...Sarah and Ryan were even in one of the videos! It was fun to get to hang out with them again!

Johnny came also...and enjoyed his first Divine Comedy experience. Clearly he enjoyed the glow sticks that they throw into the crowd!

Saturday, the girls all got together to have brunch at Mimi's Cafe. It was really good to see everyone and get caught up on life! The french toast was fantastic as well!

I got lots of great phone calls, texts and emails. It is always nice to know that you are loved!

I'm pretty sure that I'm done celebrating my birthday...so here's to another year!

26 is going to be great!

I Should Go Into Fortune Telling

Do you ever get that eerie feeling that you are going to speak in Sacrament meeting in the very near future and then less than 24 hours later you get a call from the second counselor asking you to speak in Sacrament meeting?

Yeah.

Good thing it only needed to be five minutes....HA!

Draper Temple Open House

Last Saturday night I went to the Draper Temple Open House with my ward. There was a lot of ward bonding time going on, seeing as though we were all crammed into one tiny little room waiting for our turn to get on the bus to go up to the temple.

The temple was GORGEOUS! The funniest part was being in the Celestial room and looking at the faces of the people just coming in. They were all looking up with their mouths open! It was pretty entertaining, but very excusable when you see how beautiful the chandelier is!

At one point, we were all getting rather fidgety, so I pulled out my secret weapon...three micro machines! We had a blast racing them around. I'm sure some people thought we were weird, but I think they were really just jealous!
