Happy Birthday, Pace Pace!

ROOMMATE!!!

I'm not going to lie, I totally lucked out when I got Kristen as my roommate. All my friends had just gotten married or left on missions and I moved into Township randomly. Kristen and I hit it off and I still go to her for things that really matter to me when I need advice or just want to talk.

Kristen and I had the perfect schedule when living together in order to share a bathroom and we had a blast with our late night talks and/or runs to the store!

Who could say no to that face???

I pretty much want to be Kristen. And I proved that by dressing up as Kristen for Halloween, and still do most years!

One of my favorite traditions with Kristen was to come home from work and she would have dinner ready for me and we would eat together and watch Friends before she would head to work...who needs a wife when you have KP??

This girl has no fear...she has taken up so many different talents and hobbies within the past couple years...I don't know how she does it all!

KP and I stayed up late one night doing Valentines for the ENTIRE WARD. We didn't get done until five. We watched Finding Nemo. I don't know what it is about that movie, but we died laughing the whole time! Just keep swimming swimming swimming! I love you KP, happy birthday!

Fearless

I am not a biker. I do know how to ride a bike and when I do ride one on the street, I stay as far away from the cars as possible. What I don't get are those bikers who thoroughly enjoy riding their bikes ON that white line. Especially the wobbly bikers. Are you kidding me? I always try to get as far away from bikers when I pass them because I'm scared that they are suddenly going to fall over UNDER MY CAR and I'll end up dragging them for miles not being able to hear their horrified screams because I love to blast my alternative/rock music. That is just one of those things I don't want to deal with. However, I feel that bikers should be doing their part and staying as far away from my vehicle as possible, which is MUCH larger and can cause MUCH more damage than a bike. I thoroughly appreciate all bikers do to save the earth from the pollution that my car is obviously exhaling and for them keeping in much better shape than I am. (flash backs of the ONE time I tried to ride my bike up 'rape hill' to campus....NOT my best moment!)

Well, that is my rant for the day.

Thanks for your time.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

Not going to lie. I really enjoy the rodeo. KP and Steve got us all settled to attend the Rodeo for Strawberry Days in PG. Needless to say, we had a great time!

We got there pretty early and reserved our seats. We had pretty much the best spot!

The guys were actually a lot more thrilled to be there than they look in this picture...I promise!

SoCal Part Two: DRAPERS!

ZANIN was born last March and I knew I just had to go out to San Diego to see this little guy! Lisa let me borrow one of their cars and I drove down to Karlie's for a couple days. It was so nice just to hang out and watch movies and play with Zanin!

I was in 7th Heaven when we went to the Wild Animal Park that is about 10 minutes from where Karlie lives. Zanin was such a good little boy and we had a great time walking around and seeing all of the animals...and you know me...I just wanted to jump into their cages and take care of them myself!

Zanin is just a smiley little thing! Karlie and Brett can just get him smiling and cooing all the time!

SoCal Part one: FISHERS

I love going to visit my sister Lisa and her family. We always have a blast together. Such a wonderful vacation and I am NOT happy to be back to the real world!

I love these two kids! They are so fun to talk to! I get to put them to bed while I'm there...I don't do a very good job...obviously!

Lisa and I spent a bit of time putting knobs and pulls on their cabinets upstairs and downstairs. It is a good thing that dad taught us how to do this kind of stuff or else we probably wouldn't have done it right! My job was to measure and Lisa drilled, we made a great team!

We had a blast at Magic Mountain. Anyone who knows me knows how giddy I get about going there! Kyra is just fearless and will go on anything! Austin still has a couple inches to grow, but as soon as he gets a little taller, we can get him on some more of the rides!

My only shot of the pool...mostly because Lisa and I didn't get ready every day and just looked like trash, but enjoyed playing in the pool all the time!

Petaluma Reunion!

FINALLY we were able to get a bunch of the Petaluma kids together to hang out. I don't know about anyone else, but I had a blast! It was so good to catch up with everyone!

We are totally missing Ashlee and Brett in this picture, but hopefully they can come next time we have a get together!

The Hunsakers are headed off to China soon, so I was thrilled to have them stay with me for the weekend. We had SO many awesome late night chats! Reminded Carrie and me of when we used to sit for hours talking on slow nights when we worked at Corning, aw, the good old days! I can't wait to make it over to China to see them sometime in the near future!

It is really fun to have so many of my friends growing up so close by. These people are just great...I can always count on them for anything!

Johnny and Ryan whipped up an awesome BBQ! The best part was just talking, hanging out and remembering fond memories of when we were younger. I couldn't ask for better childhood friends!

Visual Snack

Last month and the start of this month have been incredibly busy! I'll blog all about it after I get back from Park City this weekend, but here is a little visual snack for ya'all to tide you over...

Found this fantastic little guy at the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. I can't help but giggle each time I see it!

P.S. I highly recommend clicking on the picture to see a larger size to more fully enjoy.
